Remote Controlled Door Bell
There is always a little sense of insecurity when the doorbell rings and you run from the back of the house to get it. If you were not expecting a guest, you might feel insecure that it might be a salesman or someone conducting a "survey". You know how pushy and persuasive those people can be and it makes you just dread opening the door for them. Don't you wish there was a way to find out what they want and make them go away without facing them directly?
But salespeople are not the only insecurity about opening that front door. There are plenty of documented cases that criminals gained access to the door by looking innocent enough and then forcing their way in once you open the interior door to find out what they want. It is a scary situation and as scary as that is for you, it is just as scary for your spouse who worries about you when he is at work. And if there are children in the home, many times you would rather not open the front door at all.
Its funny how it seems that when the front doorbell rings, there is almost a requirement that you open the door and engage that person in conversation. You have to wonder how it came to be that the simple ring of that doorbell creates an appointment with you when you may not have wanted that appointment at all. It might be ok if the stranger on your doorstep is a cute girl scout just selling cookies. But if it is an adult stranger looking to take some of your time when you are required to answer the front door, it would be nice if there was a way to say no to that appointment request and take that part of your life back.
With a little more technology that is easy to access in these modern times, that control can be give to you from within the home. A remote control system that allows you to answer the doorbell without every going to the door and without the person at the door ever seeing you is easy enough to put in place and it solves the problem entirely. The remote control system doesn’t have to be integrated with the doorbell but it can be. By putting in a wireless intercom system with a speaker unit mounted next to the doorbell in front, you can interact with the stranger on the door and dispatch them if you don’t like the purpose of their call.
This is the ideal answer both because it saves you a lot of time and because it is far safer than opening the door each time the doorbell rings. By simply asking the unscheduled visitor who they are and what their business is, you can determine if this is a caller you wish to engage face to face or if you will politely let them know they should move on. And because you are in control of the intercom, when the time for the discussion is over, you simply turn off the intercom and go about your business. It’s a perfect way to take control over your front door and of your life and make your doorbell system work for you rather than you being the slave to it.
